Few weeks ago we met with an owner a Boutique shop existing in the same part of Manchester for over 30 years. During that time the shop have seen many transformations in the immediate vicinity. Lately however the changes have been significant, as many of her long standing suppliers have been forced to close down business, due to luck of demand for their products.
She was quite upset about the fact that some of her top suppliers no longer are able to keep up with the recession and reluctantly closed down their doors. Winds of change are here, and not everyone has recognised these changes. Man traditional business, particularly the long standing ones have not gone with the advancement of technology and carried on in the old way convinced that people are still more keen to buy face to face.
Technology on one side, recession on the other, and many designers struggling to make ends meet with their lowest possible business levels in years. Difficult to get in to a niche which will make money without first investing time and money. Fashion clothing requires contacts, connections and lots of luck. This branch of economy shows clearly, that in order to survive, contacts in the right groups of connected people are vital.
Talent and ability of many young and more experienced designers is no longer the basis for success, for the older designer is even ore up the hill. Just few weeks ago we have met an experienced and once know designer from Poland, whoes past work was well received in France. Few years ago, she moved to the UK, for personal reasons and ever since is tried to gain momentum with her very attractive and stylish designs. Izabela Krawczyk, based in Birmingham UK, is highly talented designer, looking to re-start her fashion life once more. To do this she has worked in various jobs so that she could save some money to open a studio. With the fantastic support from children and friends she has just opened her very own design studio. Her on line store, sell clothing that she her self has created. Izabela`s designs are for everyone who is looking to have a fresh and well thought, functional clothing.
